Pattern
Do you like owls? Here is a very easy pattern to crochet your own owl :)
- hook (size 3.5 mm)
- wool - green, grey, yellow, white, black
- needles for sewing the body parts together and for embroidering the face
- stitch marker
- something for stuffing the body
- scissors
Abbreviations:
mr - magic ring
sc - single crochet
inc - increase
dec - decrease (invisible decrease preferred)
st - stitch
slst - slip stitch
ch - chain
ch - chain
Pattern
BODY (in green yarn)
1. start with 6 sc in mr (6)
2. inc in all st (12)
3. *sc in next st, inc* repeat (18)
4. *sc in next 2 st, inc* repeat (24)
5. *sc in next 3 st, inc* repeat (30)
6. - 11. sc in all st (30)
12. *dec, sc in next 3 st* repeat (24)
13. *dec, sc in next 2 st* repeat (18)
14. *dec, sc in next st* repeat (12), join with slst to next st, finish off, stuff the body and sew the edges together
WINGS (make 2 in grey yarn, crochet in rows)
1. 5 ch
2. 4 sc
3. 3 sc
4. 3 sc
5. 2 sc
6. 1 sc, sc all around the wing, in the wings corners crochet 2 sc, join with slst to next st, finish off and sew the wings to the body
LEGS (make 2 in yellow yarn)
1. 5 ch, go back crocheting 4 slst
2. 4 ch, go back crocheting 4 slst
3. 4 ch, go back crocheting 4 slst, finish off and sew the legs to the body
EYES (make 2 in white yarn)
1. crochet 4 sc in mr (4)
2. inc in all st (8), join with slst to next st, finish off and sew the eyes to the body
